Providing an intentional year-long gap for at-risk high school graduates.
Gap U Director
Gap U Chief Visionary Officer
Lance T. Griffin was born and raised in Omaha, NE and is entering his 2nd year at Omaha Street School. Griffin has served the Omaha community for well over a decade, working in various fields as a social worker, public school paraprofessional and football coach.

Griffin graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1998, and he received his Bachelor's Degree in History and Government from Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. While a graduate assistant at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE, Griffin earned a Master's of Science in Education (Sports Management).

During his first year at Omaha Street School, Griffin taught reading and Omaha and U.S. History. He also played a vital role in establishing an athletic co-op program betwen OSS and Concordia Jr./Sr. High School. OSS students are now able to participate in football and boys' and girls' basketball.

Griffin will begin his new role as the GAP U Director for the 2017-2018 school year.

Linda Reimer, a faithful supporter of Omaha Street School since the school’s early years, was named OSS' Executive Director effective April 1, 2017.
Based on interactions and conversations with various members of the Omaha Street School community, Reimer saw a need for a program that assisted students after graduation. Students come to OSS with many gaps, and while the completion of a high school diploma signifies progress for students, many issues still hinder their ability to be adequately prepared for post-secondary education or employment.
After a year of visioning and planning, Reimer looks forward to assisting graduates of Omaha Street School as the Chief Visionary Officer of Gap U.
